Nauticus is a fun and exciting interactive science center with a maritime theme and features more than 150 exhibits including computer and video interactives, giant screen films, exotic aquaria, touch pools and shark petting. The USS Wisconsin, one of the last and largest battleships built by the US Navy, is berthed next to Nauticus and is open for main deck tours.
Hours of operation:
Open Memorial Day – Labor Day, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., daily; rest of year, Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon – 5 p.m. Nauticus is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Nauticus is 20 minutes west of Virginia Beach and 40 minutes east of historic Williamsburg.
Admission:
Adults, $9.95; children (4-12) $7.50; $8.95 for senior citizens, AAA members and military personnel with ID; free for children 3 and under.
